Need police protection on wedding day

21-Nov-2025 (In Family Law)
I'm getting my cousin married. Her father and other family members are drunkard and they don't want the marriage to take place. They are threatening to create a scene on the wedding day and threatening us for violence. They also have criminal background and have also gone to jail. Can i request police protection on the wedding day?

You can inform the local police station and submit a 'sanha' regarding the same. Thereafter the Police shall remain vigilant on the date of marriage. Although they will not provide you any police personnel to be there at the place of marriage in advance but if you will let them know that any unwanted happening is taking place then they will go to that place. For taking advance police protection you can file a criminal writ at Hon'ble High Court also but that is a long process and won't be beneficial here.

yes, you can ask for the police protection submit one complaint to the concerned police station and write the apprehension of the act of your family members could be. there can be more remedies to but everything can't be discussed here in short. I would suggest to contact me for details. Thanks
