Need details can maintenance be claimed a wife after 14 years.

I want to know whether a wife can claim Manitenance case on the Husband after 14 years of Sepration but not Divoce . The case is pending for Section 498(A) and other on the Husband Family. The lady has 2 children i.e 1 Boy and 1 Girl .Both the children are adults .The Boy earns but needs funds for Higher Education. The wife needs it daughter's Education and Marriage.
What legal Option she has on this , how can she claim , the husband is Goverment Servant and Might have a second wife. She desperately needs Funds for the Children Future.She had not claimed as was supported by parent but now ?
Definitely she can claim maintenance from her husband. She mat file a fresh criminal case under Domestic Violence Act before the concerned magistrates court. She may claim every single relifs which she is in need of. No matter 14/16 years passed but she may claim under the said act also she can file divorce petition and therein can claim maintenance.

She should have filed for maintenance long back. even now the case for the maintenance can be filed but i think it is beyond limitation and such a long delay may be condoned by the court if it thinks fit and has proper reasons. please contact your local lawyer for further advice
