Could you please confirm why is the code of civil procedure 1908 (HB) is used and what is OS case

In simple language, cases that are of civil nature do follow Civil Procedure Code 1908 and OS means Original Suit, its the very first suit/case that is filed at the jurisdictional court by the person stating the facts, and relief he/she wants.
If he/she wants a temporary relief or stay order till the Original suit is pending in the court then be will file an IA(Interlocutory Application).
