If your wife is unwilling to continue living with you, the first step is to understand the reasons behind her decision. If reconciliation is possible, both of you may consider mediation or family counselling. If she wishes to live separately, the legal consequences will depend on whether she is seeking only separate residence, judicial separation, or divorce. Please do not take any hasty decision. Gather all relevant facts, including the duration of marriage, whether you have children, and if any legal notices or cases have already been filed. Based on these facts, you can decide the appropriate legal course of action. A detailed consultation with a family law advocate will help you understand your rights and the best option available.

If your wife is unwilling to live with you, first try to understand the reasons and attempt reconciliation through family members or mediation. If reconciliation is not possible, you may consider filing a petition for restitution of conjugal rights, if legally appropriate. If both of you have mutually decided to live separately, you may also explore mutual consent divorce after fulfilling the statutory requirements. If she has left the matrimonial home without sufficient cause, the legal remedies available will depend on the facts and evidence.

Dear Client, 1. If your wife is unwilling to live with you and wants to live separately, first try reconciliation through family elders or mediation. If reconciliation fails, you may seek Restitution of Conjugal Rights under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, if you genuinely wish to resume cohabitation. If she persistently refuses to cohabit without reasonable cause or the marriage has irretrievably broken down, you may consider appropriate matrimonial proceedings, including divorce on legally recognized grounds, after obtaining legal advice based on the facts of your case. 2. Consult an advocate to discuss your case in brief. 3. You may schedule an appointment regarding your case by phone or email at your convenience. Thanks & regards, Priyanka Advocate Coimbatore

If your wife wishes to live separately, speak with her and find out whether her decision is temporary or permanent. Try to understand the reasons behind her decision and see if the issues can be resolved through mutual discussion. If the matter may lead to legal proceedings such as judicial separation or divorce, it is advisable to consult a family law advocate to understand your legal rights and the options available to you.
