My brother's wife doesnt know cooking. she knows the basics and cooks slow. my parents have given her enough time to learn. My brother lives in abroad & we are worried, how will she take care of meals once she moves there. She is a working lady. My parents has warned/insulted her family also but still no use. this indirectly affects our reputation. can we file for divorce on basis of this. please share suggestions.

Yes...this comes under mental cruelty and you can always file a divorce petition in the family court according to your jurisdiction. But I would suggest you to go for mutual divorce as it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Your brother’s wife is not the Servent. If she can’t cook then you can arrange cook or you can ask your wife to cook for all ! If you force her to do so, this is also an offence against you ! And this is not a ground of divorce !

With due respect, if you file a petition on that basis, you are going to get a lot of scolding from court as this is no ground for divorce. One must be able to substantiate cruelty if he is seeking divorce from court on that ground. Unable to cook good food is not a cruelty my friend. You want a good suggestion, call me.

Hello, please do not even try to file for a divorce on this flimsy ground because the advocate advicing you and the family will be thrown out of the court immediately. there will be a prudent question from the end of the court as did you not know that she does not know cooking? or what is the kind of time duration you expect a person to learn cooking. In that case why you did not learn law and appeared as an advocate by yourself. let the things go politely and handle the situation with care. make the girl understand why this is important for her to learn the basics of cooking and with my 25 years of experi nce in the filed I am sure she will be able to serve her husband beautifully.

Yes you can. I will be needing all the details of the marriage and we can proceed with the divorce matter. Your brothers presence will be required for the very same . Rest assured . You will be guided in a very proper manner.
