I can understand how painful and stressful your experiences must have been, especially when they involve your own mother and close relatives. It is natural to feel hurt, angry, and even helpless in such a situation. Please remember, your emotions are valid, and you deserve peace of mind and the freedom to make your own life choices. Before rushing into filing a case, I would suggest you take a step back and think about what you truly want as an outcome. Legal action is possible — you can file under the Domestic Violence Act or approach the police if there has been force or harassment. But such steps often make family relationships more strained and may not always bring the emotional relief you are looking for. Sometimes, a better first step is counseling or mediation — either with a professional counselor, a trusted elder, or even through legal mediation centers. These platforms allow you to express your feelings in a safe environment and may help reduce the tension with your family. If, however, your safety, freedom, or mental health continues to be at risk, then legal remedies should be considered seriously. In that case, I can guide you on the appropriate petitions or complaints you can file to protect your rights. Please take care of your mental well-being first. Surround yourself with supportive friends, keep focus on your career and personal growth, and remember that seeking professional counseling is not a weakness but a strong step towards healing.
