Mental Harassment by the in laws

02-Jul-2024 (In Family Law)
I have been harassed by my in-laws for the last 4 years. I have been mentally struggling and for that, I had to go to a psychologist. I was not able to continue. I felt good for a bit but now in the last 6 months, they have verbally abused me a couple of times. It's taking a lot of toll on my mental health and having suicidal thoughts. Even after talking these things are not stopping. I would like to know my legal options so that it can be stopped. My religion is Hindu (Jain).

You can file a domestic violence case against them and also ask for maintenance. In case you want to file for divorce then you can do so simultaneously. Filing a police complaint won't work much since they will return to their usual behaviour. Only when they are taken to court, they may come for settlement
