27-Aug-2023 (In Family Law)
Intercast marriage of 3years and have a baby boy of 2yrs.In laws family were against this marriage and didn't attend the marriage as well.My mother also stay in Pune and take care of my baby since he born and my office is nearby Mom's house. I have asked my husband to take a flat nearby my office , so it could be convenient for us as we are staying separate since we had a baby. My in laws came to meet after we have baby but they I observed they love the kid but didn't accept me.Since past 6 months they are visiting us very frequently and from then only me and my husband started fighting with each other. Now he wants me to leave the job and not taking any responsibility of my baby as well and misbehaving with me. Always threatening me that I will do suicide. I tried to do patch up many times but for 2-3 days he behaves fine and again meeting their parents he is abnormal. Please advice what legal rights I have.

The first step you must take is to file a NC in the local police station that your husband keeps threatening he will commit suicide. Please note this is just FYI for the police and is not a FIR. You must keep a stamped copy of the NC with you. In case your husband takes any adverse step then this will be your safeguard. Also you must be made aware of your matrimonial rights so that your husband or in laws cannot take you for granted. Please let me know details of the mental torture they are inflicting on you so I can guide you to deal with them accordingly.
