Marriage Registration Question

14-Nov-2024 (In Family Law)
Hello, Me and My fiancé are both Indians-Hindus currently working in U.K. We plan to have a religious wedding in India. However as my parents had not approved of our wedding we are facing difficulty in getting the marriage registered. Please advise on best course of action on how we can register our wedding in India or UK if that works. Thanks!

Dear Sir, You may contact any Advocate who is acquainted with marriage registration normally this will be done by Junior Advocates. The following procedure may be followed.  That neither party has a spouse living at the time of marriage. That neither party is incapable of giving a valid consent to the marriage due to unsoundness of mind. That neither party has been suffering from mental disorder of such a kind or to such an extent as to be unfit for marriage and the procreation of children. That neither party has been subject to recurrent attacks of epilepsy or insanity. That the bridegroom has completed the age of 21 years and the bride the age of 18 years at the time of marriage.
