A thought: Why do you want to marry a man who is not ready to stand in favour of marrying you? Answer to your query: Court marriage or otherwise, all are safe. But getting married is not a certificate of protection from becoming a victim of heinous crime.

you can file a case in the High Court for directions to the police to provide you with police protection. if the court is satisfied that there is a case made out where your life is under threat the court can provide you with police protection. should you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

If you have already crossed the age of majority according to law then nobody can stop you from getting married to the partner of your choice. And even if anyone creates a nuisance then you can always file a complaint in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction against that person.

Yes, various ways are there through which the couple can seek protection and also create evidence side by side. First, File a complaint in the nature of 'For your information' before the police to seek protection and create one evidence. second, approach the court and seek police protection or assistance. third, file a criminal complaint against all the accused persons for criminal intimidation, extortion and other relevant paras that depend on case to case basis.

If you have a marriage age then such claims can not stand in the court of law. however to ensure the safety it is advisable that you apply for the police protection post your marriage and with due course of time such things will subside. The boy side if creating trouble then you can also file a complaint against them in the nearest police station and ask for the security post your marriage
