Legal consequences of rejecting a marriage proposal after acceptance

We the HINDU, fixed a girl for our son in our community.(Sourashtra) with the consent of both families. Both family agreed on 03-02-2017(written form)that marriage to take place on 14-05-17.Then the boy and the girl exchanged their views over ph now realize that their marriage life will fail because of vast difference in the approach to their life and the girl conveyed over whatsApp message that there will be lot of problem after marriage. For that my son suggested to call off the marriage decision. The girl's family are in the belief everything will be alright after marriage and insist on the marriage. Please let me know the legal implications and procedure to be followed up.
If thee is lot of differences of opinion between the pride and pride groom before the marriage then it would be better if the marriage is called off. The marriage life will not be fruitful if the same has happened witbout the consent of the pairs. Just give them a written letter to them narrating all those facts. But they may give false complaint of dowry harassment against you. So inform your unwillingness to her family to conduct the marriage by citing the said facts through the said notice. If they take any such a false allegations and complaint in future it may help you at that point of time.

Did you conduct an Engagement ceremony on 3.2.2017? Or is it just a written for? Did you take any money etc on that date? If no money or jewels were taken from the girl's side then there is no problem to cancel the marriage. You can send a letter to the girl's parents stating that the girl herself has said that she does not want to marry your son. You can keep the Whatsapp message as proof.
