Legal action against girl family for threatening and blackmailing her

I am a boy 24age i am a graduating student and my gf 21age is a also a student but from last 2 mnths they have locked her in their house her parents are blackmailing that they will suciede if we both gets married in case if such thing happen then who will be criminal?
