Is the property inherited or joint?
12-Jun-2025 (In Family Law)
My family home was owned by father and brother - 70% and 30%. My father passed away in 2010. My brother got married in 2011, sold the home in 2017 and gave my share to me. He bought a new home with the proceeds and never put my mother's name on the deed on the pretext that he will take care of my mother for life.
In 2022, he put his wife's name on the deed. Now, they have decided to separate after adultery from. both sides. My question - what is my mother's right on the home?
Your mother surely has right in the said property and the proceeds if it was owned by your father . Please provide with additional details so that we can understand the matter in depth. Also please note that the nature of the property and the nature of holding will be pertinent to ensure what can be the possible outcomes. Therefore please make sure you include them while contacting the office.
