Inheritance right of an adopted child - Catholic Background
18-Sep-2023 (In Family Law)
Hello, My name is John Clement. I am from catholic background. I was an adopted child, now i am 38. I just wanna ask a question that does an adopted child has right in inheritance/ property of there adopted parents?
Very good question. There are many angles however, please always remember. If your parents write a will and they nominate you then you have a right and if they don't nominate you then you don't have a right. If they die intestate then you have a constitutional right to inheritance as there is no express mentioning about rights of adopted child. You have right to inheritance as per above mentioned points.
