I'm a Software Engineer and a student. I run my own tech startup and recently got into publishing. I belong to India but my co-author is from the USA. Recently, her parents reported me as a child predator due to their racist nature and flagged me to an anti-hack team. As now the police and feds are involved, I want to them a legal answer because my records being in the police records can get me in trouble with my Visa. Can I sue them with defamation case? else is there any way to give an answer?

First of all rather than going legally you should serve them a legal notice and in that notice you must write that to stop all these harassments and compensate me for the acts done by you or face legal action which will be at your own risk. And legally you can always sue them for defamation. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Dear sir In order to initiate a defamation case, sending a well drafted Legal Notice is a prerequisite in which the allegations have to be specified without disclosing the witnesses you have in your support or you will risk those witnesses to be compromised. The legal notice is the foundation of a case and if not well drafted may bring your whole case down. If they do not provide an unconditional written apology in reply to our notice, we can sue them for defamation for compensation and mental harassment as well. In case you have such evidences in regard to defamation then you can’t have india as jurisdiction to file case. Such cases can be filed where the respondents live or work. However, it’s better you hire an expert advocate who can frame a legal reply n notice for whatever false allegation they have put. Plz b in touch
