I am hindu. I am only child legal heir my mother died she made me nominee as my minor brother died now society does nt want to transfer flat in my name and also I can't afford high maintenance so 21% interest in charged on me
Based on the facts shared, you may have a legal right to get the flat transferred in your name if you are the sole legal heir. The society cannot arbitrarily refuse transfer. Please contact me with all relevant documents so I can guide you on the appropriate legal remedy.

the mother died without leaving a Will, and you are the only surviving Class I legal heir under the Hindu Succession Act, you are entitled to inherit the flat. A nominee is only a trustee who holds the property for the legal heirs and does not become the absolute owner merely by nomination.
