Sir, I have been maried since 2010. My husband has turned his back towards his responsibility and duty. I am going through suffering of not only constant disrespect but verbal, physical and intangible mental abuse everyday. It's gettng worse day by day because of the fact that I am infertile, he constantly ask me to leave his house as he doesn't want me live anymore with him. I wish to seek your help in the matter of leaving his house as I feel suffocated, traumatised and worthless.

you need to file a criminal complaint at your local Police Station, alongwith one complaint to the Crime Against Women Cell. After that, there will be some mediation proceedings which will take place at the Women Cell. You can mention in the complaint that your husband does not want to cohabitate with you, he tortures you and beats you and that you cannot possibly stay with him so that he cannot take up a desertion ground against you. For now, file a complaint at the places mentioned above and also an application under the Domestic Violence Act.

Being a wife you have so many rights under Hindu Marriage Act, domestic violence act and criminal procedure code . You can claim maintenance, you can claim for shelter, you can claim for divorce and you may file other criminal cases against them. But better advice will only be possible by knowing you story in details.
