Me was in a relationship with a guy younger to me by 3years from past 4years.he promised me marriage and was in touch with me till date and got married with me by tying mangalsutra at home which my friendsare aware off. Now he got engaged with someone and I came to know and he is saying sorry my family will not accept as I have child. Can I file a case as I am cheated in all means he had been asking me to wait till now but now backing off. Please advice

Mam you have been cheated don't worry you are protected by Court of law. Tying of mangal sutra is enough for a Hindu valid marriage. He cannot escape from the clutches of law. if you are bold enough you can either punish him or marry him.

Firstly, you have divorced your 1st husband without following legal procedures. That is not legal, so you are still married to your 1st husband. What are you going to do about it? Your present friend will take that point. Regarding your friend you have to give proper evidence like photos, emails, letters etc to show that your friend was promising to marry you. We have to discuss all these issues in detail to arrive at some conclusion. If you are in Chennai and want further advise and assistance, you can contact me.

Madam,
Your first marriage was not dissolved, as per law and it is deemed to be continuing and your husband married someone is also not sustainable in the eyes of law. As far as the second affair you have stated, you should not call it as marriage solemnized and it will be treated as living together, but you have take care before giving any police compliant. Better you consult any advocate in this regard in person.
