Hoe to deal with threats on recovering money

Hi, My brother spent 5 lakh on my marriage. Before spending I have asked him to take the amout before marriage, which he denied stating he has a good back up. Now after 1.5 year of marriage, he & his wife are continusly asking money that they have spent. Now brother is sending me threating messages that he know multiple ways to get money from me. Let me know what all options do i have in this matter.
You have good defense just specifically denied all to him and file a complaint for threats and abusing. Take precautionary measures for your protection l think so he has any evidenceto recover the amt

You can file a police complaint annexing the messages sent by him along with the complaint. He cannot threaten you to recover money as for him the correct way is to go to court and file a civil suit for recovery but as it will take a lot effort and years and still he may not be able to recover that amount, hence he is threatening you. Threatening is a criminal offence and he will stop only if you take an action by filing a criminal complaint which should be properly drafted having all the facts of your case.
