This is suggestion only Your question is not clear to give proper answer any how answered your question if it is suitable for you first you have not mentioned your religian in which the property has to divided together shares according to indian law and you have not mentioned that how many sons of your grand father that the grand father property is self acquitted or ancestral proprty. If your grand father was died one of the shares devols of sons' of grand father that devols one share came on you father's share and then you have to distribut among your mother, brothers and sisters equally devolving that one share equally among them.
{Under Muslim law the shares allotment among the properties of different one} the above suggestion is under Hindu law

Dear,

If the property you are referring to is an ancestral property, the grandson has equal share along with the other legal heirs i.e, widow, son(s), daughter(s), grandson(s) and granddaughter(s) after the demise of the grandfather. If the grandson's share is denied, he can file a civil suit for declaration and partition of the property. However, if the property you are referring to is a self acquired property of the grandfather and the grandfather dies without leaving any Will, then only his immediate legal heirs i.e. his widow, son(s) and daughter(s) will have right to inherit the property left behind by the grandfather. Hope this clarifies. Feel free to contact me if you need any further clarification.

HI
Grand son cannot have any right to claim his grand father's property if his father is alive.
According to section 8 of Hindu succession act, son is a class I heir and he alone is entitled to succeed to his father(your grand father's property).
Grand son can claim a share of the property belonging to his grand father only if his father is not alive.
