Fear of false dowry harrasment case

My son had an affair with a girl of different religion and got married 2 years back, they have a 1 year old son, currently they are not in good terms, i fear that a fase dowry harrasment case may be filed against our family, how to safeguard us

Since the offence is non-bailable, it is advisable to move an application for anticipatory bail at the earliest. If there is any element of blackmail or coercion from the other side, appropriate legal action, including filing a counter-complaint, may be considered. If the circumstances permit, exploring mediation could also be a practical option
