Dear, Is the property your father's self acquired property or ancestral property? If the property is your father's self acquired property, then you cannot claim a right in it as your father will be having the sole rights over the property and can let in whom he wants to. If the property is ancestral property then send a legal notice to your father asking your share in it and if he doesn't agree, approach civil court and file a partition suit and claim your share in the property after collecting copies of the title deeds pertaining to the property from the concerned sub registrar's office.

Hi You should file a suit for partition if you are aware of your father's property details. As such you will be entitled to a share of all the ancestral properties obtained by your father. However you cannot stake a claim to the self acquired properties of your father.
