Family not willing to give share in property to females of the house

17-Oct-2023 (In Family Law)
Hi, I have a query regarding a gift deed. My parents has two kids, me and my brother. we are residing in a property which belongs to my grandmother who is alive. My parents has a belief that daughters doesn't belong to family anymore after marriage. Hence, they don't want to give share in property. Now, secretly they have convinced my grandmother to write gift deed to my brother which should be written in such a way that i should have any rights on that. I am not married, will be getting married in next 5 months. Is there anyway i can stop this legally and put objection in sub registrar office on stopping this registration of gift deed. I feel this is injustice they are doing to me, just because i am a girl. Please advice.

Dear Mam,

You can give a written intimation of the same to your jurisdictional sub registrar office, if there is any objection the sub registrar office shall not register the property. please note that you have equal rights over your ancestral p[property. hence please go ahead and file a suit of partition, asking for your equal share.

Definitely you have a share in the property, since it is grandparents.
You may have to bring a directive from the court to the sub registrar not to register the gift deed. You cam claim your share in the property.
