family Issues against love marriage
21-Feb-2025 (In Family Law)
I am 27, Hindu, and want to marry my boyfriend, but my father’s cousin is against it, and my parents support him. He came home, scolded me, and threatened to take my phone and laptop, restricting my movement. He tracked my phone, stole my boyfriend’s number, and is tracking his location to harm or even kill him. Being involved in politics, he poses a serious threat. They may also force me into marriage. I want to take legal action to protect myself and my boyfriend.
Hi
The very first step you need to take is to ensure your immediate safety by securing yourself at the safe place.
Then Document the threat in terms of Evidence.
Report the issue to the nearest police station.
Get the F.I.R (First Information Report) filed against him.
U/S 154 of Crpc you have a right to file a FIRST INFORMATION REPORT (FIR) at your local Police Station.
You can registered your marriage under special marriage act and nobody can stop you, you and your boyfriend both should file a written police complaint against your father's cousin so that he steps back, let him be from any political background, if a lawyer is with you, he can fight against the whole system to get you justice, my suggestion in this matter is target your fathers cousin by filing multiples written police complaints against him and getting help from high ranking police officials, all you need is a lawyer by your side
