hello, there is no legal provision for emancipation in India. Emancipation is the process where a minor gets the status of an adult where he has to prove that he is able to maintain himself. A minor can seek legal separation from his or her parents, if the parents are abusive. For further detailed discussion through consultation please feel free to contact me at any time.

A minor can be emancipated in all the cases of abusive parentage or having a hostile household. However to have the proper care of such a minor the courts ask for the major person or firm to take care of the minor , which will be a party in the case. the minor by himself cannot ask for emancipation without any support
