30-Sep-2023 (In Family Law)
Sir, 498a have impact renewal of passport.Does DVC also have same impact. Please help.
some time it has impact and some time not in the case of DVC it depends how other side council proceed but if you want to know more in detail better to consult with and advocate in person or by telephone it depends on what is the present situation of the case so better to consult with an advocate.
Hi
DVC does not have any impact in passport renewal.
However if charge sheet is filed in 498a, it might have some impact as generally you will need permission from court to travel overseas and also that passport's issued by Passport office during pendency of criminal case will be valid for only one year.
So in case you need any help in renewal of passport(assuming police report is adverse against you), you can always approach the High court and make a prayer to passport office and police to issue you a renewed passport valid for 1 year.

Sir this suggestion only. If wife is lodged complaint before PS. The said PS registered case against her husband and in-laws. During the course of investigation officer seized the passport and submitted before the honble court. The question of renewal of the passport the said court has not returned the same untill the pendency of the said case.
The honble high court only the ample power for interim custody with some conditions. The DVC case is separate one the question of passport does not arise. The said case only relief for maintainance against her husband.
