The property and business was bequeathed to your father from your grandfather and hence it is not an ancestral property but a self acquired property which was transferred to your father. At present you can stay, work or have any other right whatsoever in your father's property only to the extent of what your father allows. After the death of your father you can lay claim to these properties as a legal heir if your father dies intestate.

First of all-- I) son can not inherit till father is alive unless father is voluntarily handing over the property or business in writing to his son i.e you. If the property be an inherited one it should have non-encumbrance from other family members of your father.
