I had one Muslim friend, he is just a friend, nothing is there between us, he is married, we are very friendly to his wife also, but his wife suddenly calling me and threatening me to break friendship with him, later I asked my friend, he told nothing is there, as wife she normally told, but after few month his wife send very offensive msg to me, she is defaming my character, but she can't prove that we have any extra marital affair, I really don't have any affair with him but his wife continuously defaming me and my friend is telling me not to complain police
She have right may be to tell his husband, but she don't have any right to send vulgar msg to anyone without any proof
Where I do FIR? In police station or online?
Dear mam, first I would recommend you not to take this matter up to the court as that would affect your friendship and also your friends life. You can try to have a sitting with your friend and his wife to clarify all the squalor thoughts of your friend's wife. In case if you wish to take this matter to court, the functioning of our criminal justice system is that she would not be arrested or she cannot be put behind the bars. Instead the maximum punishment the court may award her on this matter is fine of few thousands. If you further wish to proceed with a police complaint, you have three options. 1- to file FIR in police station which the police won't do for these type of cases, 2- you can register an online FIR in which the complaint will be taken for sure and some actions may be taken. 3- to approach the magistrate directly with a complaint and they may take further steps. I diligently feel the matter may be resolved by clarification rather than filing FIR.
