I got dovorced mutually. In the settlement deed it was mentioned that my 50% portion in the joint properties I will gift to my major daughter, but as my ex remarried my daughter is not letting me proceed with the gift deed, instead she is asking for cash by selling the property and with the 50% she wants to buy a flat of her own. What should I do as my ex husband is not cooperating.

You must follow what was mentioned in the settlement deed and if there are any changes to it you can further prepared a fresh document taking consent from your spouse for the same else your daughter may take money from You and later your ex spouse may file suit to get the gift deed to favour of daughter ! You need to hire expert advocate to draft relevant documents in this matter Plz be in touch
