daughter-in-law does't want my stay with my son even 500 mtr. away
20-Jan-2025 (In Family Law)
I am aged 76 years and employed in a Manufacturing Industry. I have one son and one widow daughter and I also lost my wife in 2023. My son got married to a girl from a city in U.P. in 2019 . After my daughter started living with me to take care me after my wife's death, now daughter-in-law is pressurizing my son to see a house far away from my stay. Since I am aged, I like my son should stay near somewhere. How to resolve this problem. Please help me.
Dear Sir,
You may approach the Senior Citizens Tribunal which is headed by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue). A notice will be sent to your son and daughter-in-law and thus they may conduct mediation and settle the matter. However, you may agree to give Fifty percent of the house property in favour of your son and daughter thus they may enjoy the property equally. This must be with a condition that your son must stay nearby and get the property only after your demise.
