Hello Mam, In response to your query I would like to suggest you that you can make an affidavit from the civil court on the basis of your Registered Adoption Certificate which your legal document declairing your adoption as legal and then can get the parentage changed accordingly through that Affidavit followed by paper publication in one daily hindi one english and regional language newspaper Thank you.

DEAR MAM IF YOU HAVE THE LEGAL DOCUMENTS REGARDING ADOPTION OF YOUR SISTER SON THEN ONLY YOU CAN CHANGE PARENTAGE IN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE AND AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE THERE IS NO PROBLEM IN CHANGING PARENTS NAME IN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE AND IF YOU SHOW ME ADOPTION PAPERS THAN I CAN HELP YOU IN BETTER WAY.

For change of name in school records, ideally the school desires Registered Adoption Deed. Further, an affidavit of both the parents is required. Once the school is satisfied, it will endorse you name. One important thing, the natural parents loose all ties / rights of the child.
