Can my wife refile 498a case when me and my family are not in touch

My wife leaved my house and filed 498a,302 against me and my family in the thana of my native place in year 2014.chargesheet had been prepared but no hearing yet, we are on bail.suddenly after 2 years we receivef a letter from mahila thana of my wife's native place that my wife had filed complain against me and my family and we have to go there to clearify our situation. 1.can my wife file 498a case again when neither me nor any of my family members are in any kind of contact with her. 2.How to deal with the situation I am not willing to go to the mahila thana of my wife's place.

First confirm what are the allegation against you and your family.
On notice of mahila Thana it is not compulsory to attend mahila thana.
Send a reply to mahila thana stating earlier case (annexing complaint copy of F.I.R) and also state your problems that why you can not come to attend mahila thana.
Yes your wife can file a fresh criminal case against you and your family with different situation and facts and in short she is not barred by law for filing criminal case

See a case under section 498a has been filed against you and as it reveals from your statements that you are on bail and charge sheet has already been filed against you therefore it is the process of court that when the charge sheet is submitted then the court directs the presence of the accused persons and accordingly your attendence is requred and thus how summons has been issued to you for your appearance in the court
