Can I perform the marriage rituals after doing a court marriage?

09-Mar-2023 (In Family Law)
I am planning to do court marriage with my fiance in April so that I get the marriage certificate to start her partner visa process as I live in Australia. It is an arranged marriage so both the families are involved. Can I perform the wedding again with my wife as per Hindu rituals as our families wants to have the proper ceremony again after few months?

Yes, there is no problem!

You can perform proper rituals and have a ceremony desired by your families.

Your families are willing to have proper rituals in addition to the Court Marriage, it is good!

THERE IS NO BAR UNDER THE LAW FOR DOING SUCH A THING BUT THE MARRIAGE SOLEMNIZED THROUGH SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT WILL PREVAIL OVER THE MARRIAGE PERFORMED THROUGH RITUALS OF HINDU MARRIAGE ACT, 1955. YOU CAN PERFORM MARRIAGE ONLY ONCE WITH ONE PARTNER
