Can I marry my cross cousin

Sir, with due all respect i want to know that i am not aware of any law about marriage, i would like to ask about the marriage between cross cousin is legal in India? I belong to Bihar, so is it a crime to marry my cross cousin( daughter of my maternal Uncle)? and if i marry her what problems i will face in future. and if it is illigal then is there any possibe way that we can marry and live like a normal couple? Please sir answer my question, I will be obliged my entire life. please help me to do the right thing

Well for legal marraige the only things required is that both should be adult and biy should be 21 thats it but eithically and morally it is not acceptable in csociety legally there is no barrier...so rest is on u to asses

The Hindu Marriage Act makes cousin marriage illegal for Hindus with the exception of marriages permitted by regional custom. Though as mentioned, marrying mother's brother's daughter are quite prevalent in southern parts of India.Both Hindu marriage Act and Special Marriage Act specifically disallows marriages between prohibited degrees of relationships.Maternal Cousin falls within prohibited degrees of relationship. This is law but if you want solution then you can contact me and after knowing the facts some solution can be worked out
