can i file defamation case against my wife and inlaws

Please guide me about defamation law my parents and relatives have been facing fear and no body support me and they are criticizing me too much my wife was tried to kill me and went to police oppositely she was totally dominating on me , she killed my sister perhaps 99 persent sure before 3 years but on that time my parents not talked to police she went me so many times in jail and mental hospital my parents have old culture they did not getting me I totally lost my reputation in society face to much criticizing continually facing outside cases tried suside so many times now I am OK
This is matrimonial dispute n is Noway defamation case . defamation is bringing down

Please note that if it is the case you can take divorce from wife on the ground of the mental as well as physical cruelty under the provisions of the Hindu marriage act, 1955 ( if you are Hindu) or any other relevant personal law.
