Can a husband throw his wife out of her matrimonial house ?

03-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
We had a love marriage 10 years back in 2008. My husband now works in Bangalore as a professor and lives in a Government quarter. I live with him. But he wants to divorce me and asks me to leave his quarter. But I love him and want to live with him. What can I do now ? Can he throw me out of his quarter ? He threatens me that if I do not leave the quarter, he will send me a legal divorce notice, or he may even leave the government job or go somewhere where I can not reach. I also want to add something important. My husband is impotent. So we never had sex. But I am fine with it since I love him a lot. Does this weaken my case as a wife since our marriage was not consummated ?

For now, be with your husband until he initiates any action as he threatens. But firstly, if he is medically certified to be impotent, then, why does he want to divorce you in spite of the fact that you are fine with his condition and moreover, you possess such love and understanding for him. The very fact that you have love and understanding for him will be a strong ground for you to fight against the divorce case if he files.
Marriage being not consummated is not due to your disability so have no worries on that.
