From the brief facts that you have mentioned it appears that your husband wants you to get your share of the property from your parents. If that is so, then it does not amount to any offence since he is asking you to bring what is yours. However, if he is asking that property for himself as a form of dowry then surely it amounts to an offence.

My suggestion would be that you have a proper discussion with him and convince him that you don't desire that property or don't want to claim your share from your parents.

Dear Client,
If you don't want to, then tell your husband directly. Tell him clearly that you dont wish to use your rights and he is no one to force you take it against your own will.

I understand your side. The only solution is to amicably resolve the issue with your husband and avoid any legal battle.

Yes it is your right to take share from your parents property no one should force you to take share in property. if the husband is troubling you on this ground then in way he is demanding dowry from you. This can be a ground to file a case in court.
