Dear Sirs,

As per sec.5(v) of Hindu Marriage act, - the parties are not sapindas of each other, unless the custom or usage governing each of them permits of a marriage between the two. As in the given situation, marriage is prohibited unless the custom provides for it.

Regards,
Sadanand

There is no problem in such a relation under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 since it does not fall within the laid down degree of prohibition of marriage between two persons to whom the Hindu law is applicable.
