Where to file a succession certificate

Hi Sir /Madam My father has been died in january ,earlier he was living in kanpur and on sep 2015 he has purchased a property in ghaziabad by selling out his property in kanpur He started living in ghaziabad after that In jan for some work he went to kanpur again where he has died and cremenation has been done in kanpur only We also live in ghaziabad with my mother (in same property which my father purchased) Can i fill succession certificate in ghaziabad for claiming FD which is in kanpur ? or i need to file succession in kanpur only Note - We don't have any address proof kanpur
