What to do when there is a mistake in property documents

Hindu In my property , the main door of the house is north but in the property it is typed as east.Instead of east there should come north. so what is the procedure to take of it.
You have to file a deed of rectification with the same sub-registrar's office where the earlier document was registered, through your local lawyer. In the rectification deed you may explain that the error was inadvertent due to oversight.
