what is the Significance of Listing Dates in High Court.
10-May-2023 (In Documentation Law)
When we view HC case status, we also get the information of "listing dates", This contains listing dates as well as brief of the order passed on listed dates. My question is, if there is no brief of the order is mentioned against any date, in listing dates, can it be concluded that no order was passed on that particular date?
No the same can not be concluded as it may happen that the said order of that particular date has not been uploaded on the website.
In the listing dates section the dates wherein "*" is put is when the matter was actually listed or came up for hearing. Yes it is correct to say that if no brief of the order is mentioned against the date, no order was passed. Unless next to the listing date it is written "rule" or "s.o." then that is the only order passed.
