For changing DOB, there may be 2 situations i.e either it is been less than 5 (five) years of declaration of your result or its been more than 5 years of declaration of your result.

1) Its been less than 5 years of declaration of your result

As per Rule 69.2 of the Examination Byelaws of the CBSE no change in the date of birth once recorded in the Board’s records shall be made. However, corrections to correct typographical and other errors to make the certificate consistent with the school records is made provided that corrections in the school records should not have been made after the submission of application form for admission to examination to the Board.
Request for correction in date of birth has to be forwarded by the Head of the Institution in the prescribed Form along with attested photostat copies of the following documents:
a) application for admission of the candidate to the school;
b) portion of the page of admission and withdrawal register where entry in date of birth has been made; and
c) The School Leaving Certificate of the previous school submitted at the time of admission.
The application for correction in the date of birth, which is been duly forwarded by the Head of the Institution along with documents mentioned hereinabove, will be entertained by the CBSE only within five years of the date of declaration of result. Therefore, no correction whatsoever shall be made on application submitted after the said period of five years.

2) Its been more than 5 years of declaration of your result

You can file an application before the court praying for a declaration that your actual date of birth is “X”and ask for direction upon the school board to make the said change in all the certificates issued by them duly making the said change in DOB.
