16-Mar-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I married a widow and she is having 2 kids. I would like to know the steps to change child's surname (having late.father name as surname) as elder one will be in 10th next year and so it will be difficult once its on sslc certificate if it is not changed now. And i would like to ask if it change will affect their right for ancestral property of their late.father (He died due to Pneumonia) . with thanks & regards, Linto

You can change his name either by way of adoption or you can change his name in 10th form itself. However, it is better to let the surname remain unchanged as it does not create much difference. As the deceased ex husband of your wife is the biological father of the sons. However, it can be done by publishing in a official gazette.
