Surname not change after marriage, which surname shall i use

Hello sir I have one confusion regarding applying for government job. I am married. but i have not changed my surname after marriage. now if I apply for job my name is "", (which is same as my name before marriag) So in marital status what should i mension? married or unmarried?
There is no mandatory provision in any law which requires the wife to change her surname after getting married. Basically, it is customary practice in India that wives change their surnames after getting married. So while applying for the job you should mention that you are married.
