Procedure to get duplicate divorce paper if the original is lost

We do not have the divorce papers (divorce in 1980-81) and no contact with his ex-wife. Will be a constraint in getting the succession cert. from court? What is the procedure to get duplicate divorce papers from the court in case mandatory? We fall under Hindu Succession Act
You will have to apply in the concerned court for a certified copy, it will take around a week or two in getting the certified copy of the divorce and the certified copy of the divorce decree is equivalent to that of original one.
