Procedure to correct wrong survey number by a rectification deed

08-Feb-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Hi, My father bought a property in 1992 in Ooty (coonoor), Tamilnadu, Before the property could be registered the seller (2) Died. But the main problem is that the Survey # of the property in the sale deed is wrongly updated instead of 2A its was added as 112A , the problem happened during the time of the sell purchased the land from his seller (1). Now the problem is all form the seller (1) & seller (2) have died except for the Seller (1) grand son & seller ( 2) son. Seller(2) son is ready to register the property in our name, but now how can we sort the Survey # problem and prepare a rectification deed or is there any other procedure to solve this issue. Please advise Thank you Regards

You may have to get a rectification deed registered by the concerned person You may have to furnish evidence to show that it was a bona fide mistake
It may create a doubt that you are attempting to get some other better property in the guise of rectification in the absence of original seller
