Procedure to correct name in mark sheets to apply for passport

Hlo Sir/Madam, I have done 10 in 2012 and 12 in 2014 .In both marksheets my mother name is incorrect that is on my other documents .Now according to the CBSE new rules a person can correct their name within one year of declaration of result.I want to go abroad but with this incorrect name i am facing problem for applying for Passport.Is there any way to correct name on marksheets.
The name change procedure for CBSE marksheet is very difficult. You first write a letter to CBSE thereby requesting them to change the name.
If they fail, then you can file a Writ Petition thereby seeking directions for name change
If they fail, then you can file a Writ Petition thereby seeking directions for name change
