Procedure for change of billing address of a CESC electricity bill

My land lady has been providing me with the CESC electric bill that has her home address on the billing address. I stay in a different building seperate from that of the land lady’s house and also have different building numbers. Her home address is 65, Chandar Village Road, whereas my home address is 529f, Mahatma Gandhi Road. Is it possible that the billing address is of her home when the meter box is situated in my building, specifically for my flat?

After going through the facts, i concur with what you have said. However if the the Landlady is the owner of the flat then the Electricity bill should be under her jurisdiction. ITs a routine matter of CESC administrative. Without going into further details i express my inability to advise further.

Yes, the electricity department can send their bills to different address as from the actual place where the meter is connected if such request is made at the time of taking the connection. You can always apply with the department to change the billing address to your own.
