Necessity to update address in SC caste certificate to apply for job

Hello Sir, I want to ask is it necessary to change address in SC caste certificate ? My caste certificate is made in 2007 and has old address but now I have changed my residence. So is it necessary to change present address to apply for Government job exams ?? Please reply Thank You

In case of government jobs the authority will check the data and other documents provided by you. Since caste certificate is not used as id or residence but still you need to change the address as the authority will ask you for the change while applying. So if you need flawless entry you have to change the adress in your caste certificate.

Yet, i would recommend thay you chane your address on then SC certificate so that if you apply for a job there is no disparity between your present address and the kne mentioned on your caste certificate. Additionaly, in case of an an inquiry, it is preferable to keep thr certificate updated so that the authorities are not mis-directed to your old address.
So kindly file an affidavit with the SDM and get your address changed.
