Joined uncle's business now want to leave what are legal formalities

I joined my uncle business which was running from 1987 , he promised that it a running business and it profitable ,so without valuation of company I joined him , now after three months I see huge loss and now I want to quit from partnership but I have not formed any partnership legally . please suggest me what should I do
